 Podcasts I'm Listening Too

On today's blog, I'm going to share some of my favorite podcasts I'm listening too! Some are faith based and some are just for fun!!

Speaking of podcasts, I recently shared that I was excited for In Joy Life w/ Mattie Jackson - Selecman. Today, she launched and the shows are absolutley great! On her first two episodes she has Annie F. Downs and she also has Shawn Johnson - East and Andrew East on! If you want to know more about Mattie just click here .

Another one I'm listening too is The Bible Recap with Tara Leigh Cobble. I have always wanted to read the Bible in a year, so 2023 is going to be the year I do it!!!

I'm not sure if they're coming back for another season in 2023, but I enjoyed listening to The Bestie Breakdown with Shay Shull and Erika Slaughter. They are from the McKinney, Texas area and just fun!!  You might know Shay as Mix & Match Mama (her blog).

These podcasts are my favorites right now, but I've listened to Couple Things with Shawn Johnson - East and Andrew East, I think I would like to start listening to the She Reads Truth podcast, and I saw this on Sarah Shaneyfelt's blog She Wakes Up at 5 am, so I think I'm going to give that one a try too!!

What are your favorite podcasts?!

Next Tuesday, I'm sharing My Favorite Bloggers! So come back for that!!

Favorite Holiday Movies:Christmas Edition

Tuesday, December 10, 2019 / No comments

This time of year is truly one of my favorites because not only is it the season of giving, but it’s the time of year that I love cozying up with either coffee or hot coco and watching a great Christmas flick!! I thought I’d share some of my favorite Christmas movies with all of you!! Some will be classic and some will be happy Hallmark movies!!

One of my all time favorite movies is The Christmas Shoes. Kimberly Williams and Rob Lowe are in this movie.

Christmas Getaway

I love watching Hallmark movies ALL YEAR long, and this one I watched a couple of days ago for the first time and it's gone on my list of favorites!! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this one!! It's about a travel writer who ends up at the same rental as a man and his daughter.

Another favorite from the Hallmark Channel Christmas lineup that I love is Christmas Cookies!!

Christmas Cookies has Jill Wagner and Wes Brown. An Executive goes to Cookie Jar, a town where Aunt Sally's cookies are made. When Hannah has to meet Jake it's not as simple of an assignment.

My FAVORITE CLASSIC CHRISTMAS MOVIE OF ALL TIME IS.....

Above I mentioned movies that I love, but I'm sure you're wondering what would be at the top of my list though...If I could just pick ONE.....

it would be none other than HOME ALONE!!!

My other classic Christmas favorites are:

Santa Claus

The Holiday
Christmas With the Kranks
ELF
The Family Stone

Also worth mentioning:

12 Men of Christmas

Under the Mistletoe
The Christmas Card
Dear Santa

Those are some of my most favorites and each time around Christmas, I watch them over and over again!!

Entertainment With Me:Carly Pearce | Every Little Thing

Saturday, October 28, 2017 / No comments

In this weekend's edition of Entertainment With Me, I'm sharing my thoughts on Carly Pearce's new album Every Little Thing!!!

A little back story on Carly she grew up in Kentucky and at the age of 16 she asked her parents if she could QUIT school and audition for Dollywood...How crazy is that? Her parents let her and well she did get signed and then that deal fell through and she had to nanny and scrub toilets to make ends meet while she still pursued her DREAM of becoming a country music singer.  Those dreams finally became a REALITY  with Big Machine Records.

This is her debut single. Take a listen:

Her debut Every Little Thing has 13 tracks:

1.Hide The Wine
2.Careless
3. Every Little Thing
4.Everybody Gonna Talk
5.Catch Fire
6.If My Name Was Whiskey
7.Color
8. I Need A Ride Home
9.Doin' It Right
10.Feel Somethin'
11.You Know Where to Find Me
12.Honeysuckle
13.Dare Ya

My favorite tracks on Every Little Thing are "Every Little Thing", "I Need A Ride Home" & Dare Ya

I honestly would give this album a 10 out of 10. I believe that Carly could be the next big thing in country music. We'll just have to wait and see what happens, but I'm looking forward to seeing what she does!!!!

Hope all of y'all are enjoying your weekend!!!

Entertainment with Me | Jessie James Decker: Southern Girl City Lights Album Review

Friday, October 27, 2017 / No comments

Today on Entertainment With Me I'm reviewing Jessie James Decker album Southern Girl City Lights!!

You're probably most familiar with Jessie James Decker from E!'s Eric and Jessie reality show or her fashion line Kittenish.

There are 12 tracks on this album, and one of them titled "Almost Over You" features Randy Houser!

My favorite tracks from the album are:

"Southern Girl City Lights"
"Pretty Girl"
"Hold A Candle"

I believe that this is a GREAT album overall,BUT I don't consider it "traditional" country music. I think it's leaning more towards today's modern/pop country sounds. I wouldn't put it in the same category with Faith Hill,Sara Evans, or Martina McBride...I believe Jessie is a TALENTED singer and if you like/love ALL KINDS of music in general you'll love this album.

On a scale of 1-10 stars I'd give this album a solid 7.

You can watch Jessie & Eric on E! Wednesday nights

Find her on Twitter,Facebook, & Instagram

Tuesday, October 24, 2017 / No comments

_____________________________________________________

As I told you  I started watching Chesapeake Shores and I have to say this show is my NEW FAVORITE!!! I COULD NOT NOT KEEP WATCHING!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Recap of what the show is about from my perspective...

Abby O' Brien played by Meghan Ory comes back to Chesapeake from New York after she receives a phone call from her younger sister. Coming back she runs into her old flame Trace Riley played by Jesse Metcalf.

If you're looking for a great family show this will certainly fit!!

A Few Fun Facts on the show:

It's filmed Vancouver Island's Qualicum Beach and neighboring town of Parksville, British Coloumbia.

I am currently watching Season 2!! You can get it on Itunes. They haven't said if they are going to renew it for season 3 yet....I'll let you know, but again you can for sure get Season 1 & 2 on Itunes!

Have a wonderful day!!

Entertainment With Me | Chesapeake Shores

Saturday, October 21, 2017 / No comments

Entertainment With Me is going to feature some of my favorite movies, my favorite music (what I'm currently listening to),current TV Shows that I'm enjoying and will also include current books that I'm reading or wanting to purchase! I welcome any suggestions on authors for books!!

To kick off  this BRAND NEW series.....

I visited my local Wal-Mart and picked up SEASON ONE of Chesapeake Shores!! I've seen bits and pieces of this show, but have never actually sat down and watched it!

Here is a description of what Chesapeake Shores is about and who it stars from right on the back of the case:

Abby O'Brien Winters returns to Chesapeake Shores when she receives a phone call from her younger sister, Jess, who has renovated the charming inn at Eagle Point. The Maryland town her father built has many sad memories and, Abby, thanks to her demanding career, divorce, and young twin daughters, has not had time to spare.Saving the Inn from foreclosure means dealing not only with her fractured family, but also with Trace Riley, the man she left ten years ago.Trace initially poses an obstacle but becomes and unexpected ally and a second chance at finding love.

Chesapeake Shores stars Jesse Metcalfe,Meghan Ory,Treat Williams,Barbara Niven,Dianne Ladd,Laci Mailey,Brendan Penny,Emilie Ullerup,and Andrew Francis.

Chesapeake Shores is on the Hallmark Channel!! Stay tuned for a review of this show & also coming up next on ENTERTAINMENT WITH ME is my REVIEW on Jessie James Decker album Southern Girl City Lights!!!
