My Top 5 Women of Country Music
If you know me, you know I love country music!! I wanted to share my top 5 women of country. These women are talented, beautiful, and inspire me in all different ways.
Without further ado. (In NO particular order)
Faith Hill: Faith has always been a favorite of mine. I love most of (if not all) her songs. Some of my favorite songs of her include "The Secret of Life", "Wild One", "It Matters To Me", "Stronger", "Take Me As I Am" among many others. I also became self admittedly obsessed with her and Tim McGraw. After a few years, I got my hands on her autobiography and read it. I respected her so much more. Knowing that she was adopted and how she went to Nashville to pursue her singing career was admirable. I am a hopeless romantic, so I love her and Tim's love story. I just love them as a couple. I also love, love her for her family values and fashion sense. Faith is such a classy woman. She seems so normal. If I wanted to spend my day with a "celebrity" it would be her and her family. Hands down.
Martina McBride: I have to be honest Martina wasn't always a favorite, but as I have gotten older she has become probably next to Carrie one of my all time favorites. Her talent is undeniable. Some of the qualities that I like in Martina McBride is that she seems "inviting". She honestly reminds me of my own mom. She seems like she is a great mother and very normal just like her friend Faith. Martina seems like she genuinely cares and works her tail off, and respects and is kind to everyone who comes in contact with her. I love the fact that she sings about things that are tough to talk about like violence and cancer. I like the fact that she interacts with her fans on Twitter She doesn't seem like she's snotty. I also love how Martina dresses. Here a few of my favorites. Check out her cookbook Around the Table too!! Some of my favorite songs of hers are "Independence Day", "Broken Wing", "How Far", "When God Fearin' Women Get the Blues", "Love's The Only House", and all of the songs on her Everlasting album. Dang the girl can SINNNNNG!! She is worth seeing in CONCERT!!! She sounds exactly like she does on her records.
Carrie Underwood: As many of you know Carrie was on American Idol. During her season I was rooting for her. I admire Carrie for many reasons…My top reason is that she is faith oriented and is not ashamed to say so in the press. My next reason for loving Carrie is that she has remained the same in terms of the fame not going to her head. I love that Carrie is very charitable and seems to love her fans. I also love that she is extremely hard working. Though I love Carrie I don't like some of her songs I still love "Jesus Take The Wheel," Temporary Home", "Good Girl", "All American Girl", and her current single "Something In The Water". I also admire her husband Mike Fisher. Like I've said before with the other women I really, really like Carrie's style and her love of fitness. Her love of scarves is amazing too!! A woman who loves scarves is a girl after my own heart.
This outfit is probably my #1 favorite outfit that Carrie has EVER worn. It screams to me CLASS!!!
Miranda Lambert: Like Martina, Miranda wasn't a favorite, but when she came out with "Kerosene" and "Gundpowder and Lead" I knew I liked something about her. I liked her straight forward, don't mess with me attitude. I love that Miranda seems like a genuine sweetheart and not rude. I like that she cares about her peers. I also love that she seems like a "normal" girl. She seems like a fun girl to hang out with. I like that she's real. I like that she encourages women to be themselves and comfortable with who they are. Not to mention that she is a fellow Texan. Some of my favorite Miranda songs include "White Liar", "Only Prettier", "Something Bad", "Gundpowder and Lead", and "The House that Built Me".
To round out my top 5 Women of Country is….
Shania Twain: I have loved Shania Twain. Not only is she beautiful but she is so talented. Some of her songs I love are "Don't Impress Me Much", "Man I Feel Like A Woman", "Any Man of Mine", and "The Woman In Me". It's amazing to me the kind of songwriter she is. To have lost both parents and be so positive is so amazing. When she could've given up she kept on keepin' on. It's amazing to see the life that she has created for herself as it is for all the women I have mentioned.
Those are my Top 5 Women of Country!!! Stay tuned for my Top 5 Men of Country!!
